As a Registered Associate Member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein.

I am a accredited member of The National Counselling Society.

I am a member of The Institute for Reality Therapy.

I attend continual professional development as well as receiving regular therapy and supervision.

My background

I qualified as a Counsellor by gaining a diploma in professional studies in counselling from the University of the West of England. I have attended a Play Therapy International course ‘Play for Life’ which gave me the experience of using different types of play media. I have worked as a counsellor in various settings, working with people from the ages of 6 to 70.

I have been a teacher in further education for eight years as well as gaining experience by working in an international personal development company. In the voluntary sector, I have worked for a suicide crisis telephone organisation, a young person’s homeless shelter in London and Oxfam in Derbyshire.

At the present time I am working for the following organisations:

Monkton Combe Senior School

I work in the medical center, counselling the pupils in the school.

Marlborough College

I am a member of the counselling department, where I counsel the pupils and supervise the volunteer counselors who are on placement with us.

HMP Erlestoke Prison

I have taught on the Person to Person communication course for Concord Prison Trust.

Relate
I have previously been employed as a children & young person’s counsellor in a variety of primary and secondary schools throughout Wiltshire and BANES for the last ten years.

Wiltshire College
I have previously taught the Award In Introduction To Counselling Skills CPCAB, in Wiltshire College Chippenham and Salisbury.

Private Practice.

I am counselling children and adults in primary and secondary schools within Wiltshire and more recently at a venue in Bradford on Avon.
